Willmar Arts are Alive and Well
This site was created to be a landing page for arts in the Willmar, Minnesota area. We have a rich history and a vibrant arts community with many outstanding musical groups, artists of all varieties, and festivals. Complete information can be found at the Willmar Area Arts Council web site.
Bring your lawn chair to Rice Park Wednesdays in June to July and listen to a free concert by the Prairie Winds Summer Band while having some free popcorn by Walts and water by Willmar Water & Spa. In the Fall and Spring they present formal indoor concerts.
The Willmar Area Symphonic Orchestra is a wonderful organization that brings orchestral literature to the area. Each year they present a Young Artists Concert showcasing the best of the best.
The West Central Singers is a selected group of about 30 singers presenting some great choral literature.
The West Central Connection is a men's barbershop chorus made up of members from Willmar and surrounding area.
There are many Art Galleries in and Willmar as well as a wonderful community theatre called The Barn Theatre.
